Direct from Mexico
Jorge and Tanya arrived from Mexico city nearly two years ago and presented beef lovers with serious steak, grilled to order, and minimally embellished with several house made sauces. Although beef is front and center, they do beautiful artisanal chicken, fish, and shrimp tacos as well. To wash it down, they have created unique housemade fresh "aguas" (pineapple-basil and cucumber-chia). Itacate is where it's at for your real-deal meat meal.

Mesquite fired "al pastor" (shepard style) bar-b-que pork
The cast refractory cement (avail at ceramic suppliers) half cylinder has a simple two level welded iron grate for the charcoal. The pork loins are pre-cooked, sauced, and stacked on the splindle. The distance from the fire is adjustable, as is the fire itself, with more charcoal and some quick fanning to boost temperature.
